Wow, I've actually managed to do some Christmas baking. Well, perhaps not so much baking as caramel boiling, but still. I tried out a recipe for saffron toffee, and they do seem to have turned out quite well even though I forgot to add the butter at the end.
3 dl sugar
3 dl double cream (40% fat)
1 dl golden syrup or treacle
0.25 g saffron
a few dashes
